The vast ecology of Ilderon produces an abundance of material with alchemical uses. A summary of the most popular and rarest ingredients are listed below.
A mushroom found around the mountains and volcanoes of Red Axe. When ingested Asunji Firecaps cause the body's internal temperature to rise to dangerous and feverish levels. A person who ingests a firecap takes 1d4 of fire damage and must succeed on a dc 12 constitution save or be sickened for 8 hours. A skilled Alchemist can distill firecaps safely into an ingredient that can allow potions to grant temporary damage resistance to cold damage for 1 hour.
Strained extract of rosemary. Safely thins out most things. When put in a potion or poison the substance loses most of its viscosity allowing potions to be drunk as a bonus action and poisons to be administered as a bonus action.
Seed Lily are special flowers that glow and hum with the power of creation. The flowers are powerfully attuned to the essence of life, and when properly handled, they can be a substitute material for creating healing potions. An alchemy kit check will allow you to add Seed Lily extract to an existing potion. A potion with Seed Lily extract heals 1d4 hp when consumed.
Silver is a purifying metal believed to have a connection to Renaltuh's moon throne. A successful alchemy kit allows you to add silver dust properly to a poison or potion. When silver dust is added to a poison or potion, when the potion or poison is used, it causes the target to lose resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for 10 minutes.
Rare mineral found occasionally around valepear in mountains and mines. When added to a potion it causes the potion to boil and become a gas. The duration of the potion is cut in half but it can be consumed by inhaling it and has 3 doses before the fumes dissipate.
Extremely rare herb that only grows in the presence of the goddess of nature. When added to a potion or poison it changes the effects of the duration to "until dispelled."
Yarrow is an uncommon herb that grows in river lands. The herb can be refined into a painkiller, or used to fight off infection. A dc 12 herbalism kit check refines yarrow in a way that it can be used as a pain killer. Consuming Yarrow in this form grants temporary hp for 1 hour equal to 1 + your constitution modifier.
A dc 15 herbalism kit turns it into an ingredient that when added to antitoxin mixtures will cause the antitoxin to also grant poison damage resistance for 1 hour.
Arcane Infused Snake venom can be created by spending 10g of materials and a 1st Level Spell slot on a vial of snake venom.
When Arcane Infused Snake venom is added to a potion, it destabilizes the magical properties of the potion. Consuming a destabilized potion causes the drinker to roll on the Full Flub Spell Table. If the creature is capable of wild magic surging, they roll a wild magic surge.
