Terror Cry delayed the party’s pursuit of Elaina and she slipped through their fingers in Alilnegi. The hunt for the rogue arcanist continues. Her next target presumably is the Earthfire in the Daraus Desert on the continent of Galken. Without the means to safely teleport to the fortress of Firerise, the party’s travels would require them to travel through the allied nation of Heimsdale.
Elaina Leldia was successful in stealing the Southern Earthfire. The hunt The party of justicars have arrived in the capital of Alilnegi, Sky’s Reach. The Anganthel of the elven armies, Bouskai Alilrith, has escorted her prisoner to the large coastal city. There she plans to explore the capital on her own time while the humans debate the fate of the Archblight General.
Sky’s Reach and it’s expansive lower city present the perfect opportunity to track Elaina’s Leldia’s contatcs and movements.
After hunting down Elaina in the monsterous caverns, the group was eventually able to dig themselves out from the collapsed tunnels. They emerged to find themselves in the Ardorian mountains. With their hunt complete, the party went their separate paths.
Oughan, Sindri, and Tobias returned to the university. When they returned to Mapheus University, they found that the University was coordinating efforts region-wide against Milanthelgar Jinprius Mari, the hand that was puppeting Elaina Leldia. Headmistress Deelah Wynrona and Elizabeth the Redeemed worked to infiltrate Jinprius’ circle, and revealed his hidden temple. Oughan and Tobias fought side by side with Deelah Wynrona, Elizabeth the Redeemed, and other heroes from across the world of Ilderon. With Elaina Leldia dead, Jinprius was depending on Olivia’s magic to manipulate the Earthfires. Elizabeth and Tobias focused their efforts on Olivia.
Alongside Jinprius in his temple was what was believed to be the current physical embodiment of the goddess Alilia. Jinprius struggled to get her to comply with his plans and when the campaigning adventurers broke through Jinprius’ vanguard forces, he tried to siphon as much power from the two Earthfires into himself. He became a being of necrotic flames. As Oughan and Deelah were on the precipice of vanquishing him and the rest of his circle, Tengu attempted to escape to the Shadow mirror and an apparition Jinprius and killed the man. What remained of Jinprius in Ilderon was destroyed, but it was believed that a flaming vengeful doppelganger of him roams the Shadow plane hunting Tengu’s followers for their failure. After the chaos passed, the adventurers spoke with Alilia. The form limited the goddess’s abilities and she did not remember what she had come to Ilderon to do as she became concerned with stopping Jinprius’ plan. She sacrificed her form to return the Earthfires to their rightful places within the world, and promised to return again one day to give the blessing she intended to give the world.
Tik and Fractis returned to the chantry of Unity. With vigor from a successful hunt, they attempted to organize the Unrepentant of the Chantry to dislodge the two demon lord, Phian’Era’ala, that had taken residence within Ardorserii. Unfortunately, the Magnate’s council was already preparing a diplomatic plan to address the growing concern and the Unrepentant were removed as a possible solution. Taking it as a sign that her sword was no longer needed, Tik decided to travel to Alilnegi and try to reconnect with her companions to find a place in life to retire. She settled in Northshore along the Morhari river. There she gave advice and wisdom to younger adventurers traveling the roads. Even still in her retirement she chose to travel. As she took weekly trips to Sky’s Reach where she visited her mate, Professor Oughan Three-Strikes.
Word spread quickly through the shadows and corners of society of the deal Fractis had made to seal Elaina’s soul. An international council of Lights from Alilnegi sought to evaluate Fractis’ actions and decide his faith, which forced Fractis to spend quite some time in the Chantry of Unity being diplomatically shielded from the repercussions of his actions. After a year had passed, and the dust settled, Fractis left to find the love of his life, Boaksi. He was promptly murdered by an assassin hired by the Ruby Shadow. The Master of Standards, Leodine Leldia, who was also Elaina’s father saw to it that Fractis joined her in the eternal grave. Days later, Fractis found himself waking up on the shores near Dockensdale, the mark on his hand gone and bearing a new ageless body. Taking up a new name, Fractis dabbled briefly in the port city before leaving to continue his quest. After being reunited with Boaksi Alilrith, Fractis was welcomed into her circle.
After having his vengeance sated and being released from his bonds with the Unrepentant Solmaine left to search for his family. He challenged several members of his circle to honor duels before he was finally exiled from Mentori.
